The Maddock Family
RAM stands for Ryan Aubree Maddock. It also fits for our kids too, Ronix and Adyson. We are a 1st generation family ran operation and do the hard work ourselves! We are both 1st generation cattle ranchers who believe in working hard and started from scratch with not owning any cattle nearly 10 years ago. Our name, our brand, our herd; they’ve all been hand selected by us as we’ve built our herd. Our herd is an extension of our family & what we stand for.

Faithful + Fierce,
Ryan, Aubree, Adyson & Ronix
Our family is located in the heart of Clark County Washington. Born and raised in the PNW, both Ryan and Aubree have grown up loving the mountains, pastures, rivers and all the outdoors have to offer us & our family. We've been at our current home for nearly 9 years restoring our 1930's farm house and tending to the land where our herd grazes.
Since we are not certified organic, legally we cannot use the word organic. However, our family is 100% mindful to our family practices on the ranch, our own standards and level of care.
We began raising beef to fill our freezer and to feed our small family years ago. Since then, we have extended that to feeding our extended family, our friends and customers. We wholeheartedly believe that we raise the most exceptional beef and stand behind our family values of how ranch raised beef should be.
Ryan and I believe that when you get to know us and trust our family that's raising your meat, that means more than a sticker or label on a package. And the level of care that goes in to each animal is worth more than one official word.
We raise Registered Black Angus Cattle. We choose this breed as Black Angus Cattle are known for it's tender, juicy, marbled & flavorful premium meat. We’re extremely proud of our herd we’ve grown over the years & stand behind our exceptional ranch raised beef.
Yes, our meat is 100% free of any kind of growth hormones or any extra added hormones.

In the late fall, once the calves have reached 6+ months old, our calves are weaned using a safe, low-stress method. It's a two step process and we've found that it is truly the best option for both calves and cows.
The first step is to run each calf through the squeeze chute, this allows us to gently catch them and attach a temporary plastic nose flap. The calves will then be released back to the herd yet no longer able to nurse while staying along side the mom cow. This takes place for about a week, then we run the calves back through the squeeze chute and remove the temporary flap. The calves are directed to a new pasture next to their mom's pasture. This is called "fence line" weaning. Calves & cows can see & hear each another, but cannot nurse and are gently separated. This eliminates nearly all the stress involved with the weaning transition, creating an environment that supports both calf & cow.
Once the calves are weaned, they receive a mix of local grass hay, salt blocks, mineral supplements to fully nourish them & support healthy natural growth.
